Introduction: In Ethiopia unintended pregnancy is still a big problem. More than 60% of the pregnancies in adolescents are unintended; which result from contraception non-use, contraception method failure and rape. Family planning can prevent at least 25 % of all maternal death by allowing women to delay motherhood, prevent unintended pregnancies and unsafe abortions. Methods: Facility based cross sectional quantitative study was conducted to assess knowledge, attitude and practice of family planning methods among laboring mothers in Adama Hospital, Ethiopia. 161 women participated in the study. Systematic random sampling method was used for data collection. Binary logistic regression also used to assess factors associated with practice of family planning methods.
