Cheng Zhang was graduated from Xinagya School of Medicine, Central South University, China in 1995 with his MD degree. Afterwards, he completed Otolaryngology resident and fellowship training in Beijing Hospital in China. In 2005, he obtained his Ph.D degree in the field of molecular biology at the School of Pharmacy, University of Southern California in Los Angeles, USA. Then he started his medicine residency training in the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, affiliated to the Johns Hopkins University at Baltimore, MD USA. In 2009 after he completed the medicine residency training, he started gastroenterology fellowship training in Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, Boston MA USA.
