Biography

Dr. Nengjun Yi received his Ph.D. in Population and Quantitative Genetics from Nanjing Forestry University in China. Dr. Nengjun then completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Statistical Genetics at University of California at Riverside. In 2002, he joined the faculty of the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Biostatistics, the Section on Statistical Genetics.

Research Interest

Dr. Nengjun Yi research interests include statistical genetics, Bayesian statistics, model selection, and Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithms. He is particularly interested in the development of statistical and computational methods for identifying multiple interacting genes for complex traits.
