Nilesh H. Joshi currently serves as an Assistant Research Scientist at Fisheries, Research Station, Junagadh Agril, University, Okha, Gujarat. Nilesh H. Joshi is Pioneer in Kappaphycus cultivation in Gujarat. For the first time he successfully cultivated mass scale seaweed in Gujarat. He is working for effects of optically active substances on phytoplankton community structure off-Gujarat (Arabian Sea). Nilesh H. Joshi is having membership as reviewer in scientific journals like Aquaculture, Food Chemistry. He published a book chapter on "Fermented seafood products" in the book- Fermentation Effects on Food Properties by CRS press in 2012. He is a member in Seaweed Research and Utilization Association of India (Life member), Marine Biological Association of India (Life member), Indian Science Congress, Kolkata.
