Biography

Dr. Wei-Ren Su is an Associate Professor at National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan. He received his medical degree from Chung-Shan Medical University, Taichung, Taiwan in 1990. He earned his master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan in 2000. He completed residency in Orthopaedic surgery at the National Cheng Kung University Hospital. He specializes in shoulder and knee surgery, with a focus on the novel surgical techniques for shoulder arthroscopy. His primary research has been focused on the biomechanics of the shoulder joint and the etiology, pathogenesis, treatment of the biceps long head. His current research focus is on the novel surgical treatments for biceps long head tenodes is. He has publications of more than 40 peer reviewed papers and served as reviewer of reputed international Journals. He serves as member of many orthopedic committees and has collaboration with researchers based at renowned universities and centers.
