Abstract

Facts and Myths in Protecting the Cloud

Cloud computing is the new buzzword in the information technology field. How do organizations secure data that’s stored in the cloud? How safe is your information? Though cloud computing really is not a new technology, it has become more popular and an integral part of our technological life. What exactly is Cloud Computing? Some experts argue that cloud computing is anything used outside of a firewall, others define cloud computing as virtual servers available over the Internet. No matter the definition you choose, cloud computing is a way for organizations to increase capacity relatively quickly without the huge investments of infrastructure, software licensing and personnel training.
