Abstract

Violence against women is recognized as a global public health and human rights problem in need of urgent attention. It affects women’s health, including their sexual and reproductive health as well as their human rights. Yet little attention has been paid to the serious sexual and reproductive health consequences of abuse and the health needs of abused women and girls. This paper attempts to examine the issues of violence against women particularly on the impact of violence on women’s sexual and reproductive health rights.
