Biography

Dr. Kurtis Auguste received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University. He conducted his medical training, internship and neurosurgery residency at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. His research interests have included neural stem cell transplantation for the study of central nervous system migrational disorders and the role of aquaporin water channels in hydrocephalus, seizure propagation and astroglial migration. He was named the 2006 recipient of the AANS/CNS Hydrocephalus Association Award and the 2007 recipient of the UCSF Naffziger/Harold Rosegay Neurosurgery Resident of the Year Award. Dr. Kurtis Auguste practice focuses on general pediatric neurosurgery including the management of complex hydrocephalus, spinal dysraphism, pediatric neuro-oncology, pediatric neurotrauma, and craniofacial disorders.
