Danish Centre for Design Research & School of Design

The Danish Centre for Design Research is an umbrella organisation under the Danish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education for the design research that takes place at the Aarhus School of Architecture, the Kolding School of Design, and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture and School of Design.

The Danish Centre for Design Research comprises the design researchers at the Aarhus School of Architecture, the Kolding School of Design and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture and School of Design. The Danish Centre for Design Research helps establish and promote Danish design research, disseminate knowledge, and build Danish and international networks among research institutions, enterprises and the general public.

The DCDR is in charge of awarding grants from the national fund for design research. The DCDR's Advisory Research Committee reviews the grant applications and makes recommendations to the Steering Committee concerning the allocation of research funds.
