Biography

Dr. Cynthia Mailloux is professor and chairperson of the Department of Nursing at Kings college, USA. She has provided leadership with curriculum development for graduate as well as undergraduate programs and is an American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) accreditation site visitor. She is a graduate of Wilkes University (BSN), Misericordia University (MSN in nursing education) and Penn State University (PhD nursing). Her area of practice includes pediatrics and nursing education.  Dr. Mailloux has been the recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award from Penn State Worthington Scranton, Pennsylvania Nurse Research Award, Pauly and Sidney Friedman Faculty Award for Service from Misericordia University and is an AACN Wharton Executive Leadership Fellow. Dr. Mailloux also serves on many national, state, regional and university committees and has contributed to her communities' educational goals as a Crestwood School Director for over eight years.

Research Interest

Dr. Cynthia Mailloux research interests include the principles of "learner empowerment" and "nurse autonomy". Other research interests include outcomes of “patient navigation systems”, “global health,” Pediatrics and nursing education.
