Dr. Hyewon Youn has graduated from Seoul National University and received her Ph.D. from TexasTech University in Biological Sciences. She is currently the clinical associate professor in the Cancer Imaging Center at Seoul National University Cancer Hospital. The primary goal of the research team of Dr. Youn is to translate the acquired knowledge from basic research into clinic. Specifically, her current research interests include 1) the elucidation of molecular events that govern the interaction between cells and their microenvironment 2) the tracking of stem cells and leukocytes; 3) the evaluation of therapeutic effect for chemotherapy, radiotherapy, genetherapy, stem cell therapy, immunotherapy and their combined applications; 4) the development of imaging reporters & theranostic probes for multimodal imaging using small animal molecular imaging.
