Biography

Dr. Bullock is a Clinical Professor of Population and Public Health Sciences and a research epidemiologist in ocular infectious diseases at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Medical School. He was an intern in internal medicine at Washington University in St. Louis before serving as a medical officer in the U.S. Navy. After residency training in ophthalmology at Yale University, he completed fellowships at the University of California, San Francisco, and the Mayo Clinic. He received a Master of Science degree in Microbiology and Immunology from Wright State University and an MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health.  He completed additional training from the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, the CDC in Atlanta, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and the Pasteur Institute in Paris. He worked as an ophthalmologist at the Albert Schweitzer Hospital in Haiti and held a clinical faculty position at Stanford University before coming to Wright State, where he served as Professor and Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology, Professor of Physiology and Biophysics, Associate Professor of Microbiology and Immunology, and was named the Brage Golding Distinguished Professor of Research. He also was a lecturer in Law and Medicine at the University of Dayton School of Law.
