Dr. Fitzpatrick has received her PhD from Boston College, M.S.W from Simmons College School of Social Work, B.A from Clark University and R.N from Royal Victoria Hospital. She served as volunteer for many years for the Cancer survivors. She is also the Research Director of Hope & Cope Wellness Centre, Jewish General Hospital.

Her research interest is focussed on Gerontology and Psychosocial Oncology.
