Dr. M. Zahangir Kabir is presently an Associate Professor in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Concordia University, Montreal Canada. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 1994 and 1996, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan in 2005, and worked as a NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Waterloo for a year. He joined Concordia University at the rank of Assistant Professor in July 2006 and promoted to Associate Professor in 2011. His research interests include theory, modeling, analysis, and characterization of electronic materials and devices. He is presently working on X-ray detectors, photovoltaic solar cells, and AlGaN/GaN heterojunction field effect transistors. He has published more than twenty five refereed papers in top-quality journal publications. Dr. Kabir is a registered Professional Engineer, and a member of IEEE.
