Dr. Dilip Kumar Shah is a Research Fellow at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA, USA. Dr. Dilip Shah scientific effort is focused on the immunological aspect of diseases. He received PhD. in Immunology from India where, he studied the impact of oxidative stress in cytokine/chemokine imbalance and apoptosis in systemic lupus erythematosus. He recently completed post-doctoral training at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston where he worked on developing a novel laser-based vaccine adjuvant to enhance vaccine-induced immune responses. At present, Dr. Dilip Kumar is working in Dr. Ross Summer laboratory, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA, to study the immunological effects of obesity on lung function. These studies aim to direct future clinical investigations focusing on the prevention and the treatment of acute lung injury in lean and obese subjects.

Research Interest

Dr. Dilip Kumar Shah research interest lies in oxidative stress, cell signal transduction, lymphocyte homing, apoptosis, cytokine and chemokine network, vaccine immunology and autoimmunity.
