Dr. McClure's research interests focus broadly on improving strategies to treat cigarette smoking and study the complex process of relapse. Her research integrates mobile health methodology and various technology outlets to study the process of relapse and treatment failure to inform cessation efforts and deliver interventions in real-time. Additionally, Dr. McClure studies withdrawal, craving, and treatment for nicotine and cannabis dependence through the use of outpatient, laboratory-based studies, clinical trials assessing pharmacological and behavioral interventions in adolescents and adults, as well as through collaborative, translational research efforts. Dr. McClure has received funding from the National Institute on Drug Abuse and the American Cancer Society.
