Biography

Graham Matthews graduated in 1957 as an entomologist and until 1972 worked on cotton pest research in Africa. Since 1972 he was in charge of a pesticide application research group at Imperial College, which was also a WHO Collaborating centre for equipment used in vector control. He retired in 2001 but has continued to be involved in pest management, including control of blackflies, vector of onchocerciasis in Cameroon
