Hung-Chih Hung had been with the Department of Land Economics and Administration, National Chung Hsing University since receiving a Ph.D from National Taiwan University in 1997. Currently, he is a professor in the Department of Real Estate and Built Environment, National Taipei University since 2007 and is the Chief of Disaster & Risk Management Division. His teaching and research focus include urban and regional planning, disaster management, environmental risk assessment, risk perception, and community adaptive capacity assessment. Hung-Chih Hung is now the Director of the Center for Land and Environmental Planning, National Taipei University since 2009. In addition to the affiliation with National Taipei University, he is also the committee member and advisor of several academic societies and governments. Hung-Chih Hung has published papers and book chapters on land-use planning, disaster management, disaster vulnerability and resilience assessment, as well as environmental risk assessment and risk perception. He has received numerous academic research honors and awards.
