Research Interest

Dr. Amin's main research focus is the assessment of the Quality of Life and identification of the limitations of care. These exist within the mechanically ventilated paediatric population. This is a rapidly expanding population and characterization of this population, as well as the identification of the burden of the disease for these children, is currently lacking. In addition, she is interested in the development of early outcome measures to assess interventions in children with Cystic Fibrosis -- in particular, the Lung Clearance Index (LCI) as well as Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging.
