Rosana Maria Tristao has Postdoctoral Degree in Neurosciences Applied to the Baby's Brain by University of London, Birkbeck College, Doctorate and Master of Psychology (Psychobiology) from the University of Brasilia (1995 and 2001), Bachelor in Psychology from the University of Brasilia (1986) and Pedagogy at the Catholic University of Brasilia (1990). Currently she is Professor of the University of Brasilia/SEEDF, Medicine Faculty, Area of Medicine of the Child and the Adolescent. She has experience and guides projects in the following areas: sleep and pain in infants, stress and health, neonatal and maternal-childish health, sensory and perceptual processes in infants and children (hearing, vision and pain), neuropsychological assessment of children at risk for developmental disorder. Rosana Tristão is the Vice-President of The International Society for Psychophysics for the period of 2012-2015 and a member of the Research Centre for the Study of Immune-genetic and Chronic Degenerative Diseases, Faculty of Medicine, University of Brasilia, Brazil. She is an Afiliated Scientist of the Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development (CBCD) at Birkbeck, University of London since 2010.

Research Interest

Rosana's interest is in developmental human perception and more specifically the impact of early experience in sensation and perception and psychological processes (or temporal dynamics) at the level of cognitive microstructure. Her investigations concern perception, memory and to a lesser extent decision-making.
