Francoise Rul received her Master in Microbial Ecology in 1990 and her Ph.D in Biochemistry from Caen University (France) in 1994. At INRA (National Institute for Agricultural Research, France), she first conducted research work on the biochemical and genetic characterization of the proteolytic system of the lactic acid bacterium Streptococcus thermophilus, a bacterium of major importance in dairy industry. She is also having a specialization on Protein structures & stabilities
