Biography

Dr. Sylke Hilberg, was born in Marburg/Lahn, Germany in 169, where she has done her primary education. She has her under graduation studies in Geology at Philipps-University in 1995 and graduation studies Geology at University of Salzburg, Austria in 1998. In 2008, she earned her PhD at University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna. Dr. Sylke Hilberg completed her post doctoral studies in 2012 at Department of Geography and Geology, University of Salzburg in 2012, where she is currently an assistance professor for Environmental Geology since then. Dr. Hilberg has been active member of Österreichische Geologische Gesellschaft (ÖGG), Österreichische Vereinigung für Hydrogeologie (ÖVH), Fachgruppe Hydrogeologie der Deutschen Geologischen Gesellschaft (FH-DGG) and International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH). Her research expertise include: Hydrogeology and environmental geology: investigations and evaluation of pollutant areas, developing and monitoring of cleanup operations, supervision of drilling campaigns, hydrogeological investigations for water supply projects, geological expertise for environmental impact assessments, groundwater modelling, hydrochemistry and hydrochemical modelling, isotope hydrology.
