Prof. Yi-Jun Xu received the PhD degree in heterogeneous catalysis at School of Chemistry, Cardiff University, U.K. in 2006 with Prof. Graham J. Hutchings (FLSW FRS). From 2007 to 2009, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society, Berlin, Germany. After that, he joined the faculty as a Minjiang Scholar Professor at Fuzhou University. His current research interest is mainly focused on synthesizing nanostructured materials, such as graphene-based nanocomposites, core-shell nanostructured materials, defective semiconductors and one-dimensional semiconductor materials, and exploring their applications in the area of heterogeneous photocatalysis. He has edited more than 100 papers that are cited more than 2000 times.

Research Interest

Dr. Yi-Jun Xu’s research interests include:

  • Preparation of nano materials and light catalytic activity and mechanism of heterogeneous catalysis (photocatalysis and thermal catalysis)
  • Selective oxidation-reduction (organic synthesis)
  • Degradation of organic pollutants (environmental cleanup)'s
