Dr.Paul O. Phelps is an specialty training in two complementary fields, Ophthalmic Pathology and Oculoplastic and Reconstructive surgery. That training has given me a unique perspective. he got trained for one year under one of the world's most prolific Ophthalmic Pathologists (Daniel M. Albert, M.D.) helping decide which lesions were cancerous and which were benign. He also have several years of experience in the operating room working on a variety of unique and many common cases (blepharoplasty, ptosis, orbital tumors, botox, etc.). My decision making as an Oculoplastic Surgeon is built on experience as an Ophthalmic Pathologist. He knows looking under a microscope at histopathology slides how important it is to remove the right amount cancerous material. He also have the Oculoplastics training to perform an aesthetically pleasing and functional reconstruction.
