Biography

Dr. Joan Deng is currently an Associate professor of Management Information Systems at the Richards College of Business, University of West Georgia. She earned her Ph.D. degree from Texas A&M University. She has taught Data Resource Design & Management, Management of Information Systems, Business Programming & Web Design, Fundamentals of Computer Concepts, and Surfing the Internet for Success. Her research interests include human–computer interaction, emotional responses to web pages, web personalization, e-commerce, mobile applications, and ICT-enabled social networks and learning. Her work has appeared in MIS Quarterly, European Journal of Information Systems, International Journal of Information Technology and Management, International Journal of Technology and Human Interaction, and International Journal of Healthcare Technology Management.

Research Interest

Human–computer interaction, emotional responses to web pages, web personalization, e-commerce, mobile applications, and ICT-enabled social networks and learning.
