Biography

Assoc. Prof. Małgorzata Matusiak Ph.D., D.Sc. is Associate Professor at Lodz University of Technology, Chairwoman of the Council of the Textile Studies. My current research focuses on clothing technology, thermo-physiological comfort, tactile comfort, textile material engineering, textile metrology, surface roughness measurement, cotton quality and technology. I am author of 2 books, co-author of 3 books, author or co-author of 17 chapters in monographs, 45 journal articles listed in JCR, 3 patents and many conference papers. I am a member of Executive Committee of ICCTM (International Committee of Cotton Testing Methods) at ITMF (International Textile Manufacturers Federation), Fiber Society and International Cotton Researchers Association ICRA. In 2015, I was awarded by the President of Poland with the Silver Cross of Merit for merits in activities for the environment and the cotton industry. In 2013, I was awarded the "Meritorious for the Cotton Chamber in Gdynia", for many years of involvement in the work of the Chamber's Management Board, and promoting the textile and clothing sector. Since 2020 I am a Honorary Member of Gdynia Cotton Association.
