Physical Education provides skill development, regular healthful physical activity, self-discipline and stress reduction. Physical performance is mainly a function of an individual’s size, shape, sex and age but not the entirely so. Success in sport at whatever level depends on fitness. A good program of fitness includes activities and cardiovascular work that improves coordination, flexibility and strength. Sports give young people the opportunity to go out and make a few friends. Involvement in recreational activities and sports as well as other forms of physical fitness offer one way that stress can be relieved.
