Response of Organic Supplementation on Yield and Nutritional Parameters of Calocybe Indica

Rice bran, wheat bran and gram legume powder were used as supplements in wheat straw substrate to study their effect on the production and nutritional parameters of Calocybe indica. Maximum yield (835g, 83.5%BE) was recorded in response to rice bran supplementation followed by wheat bran (790 g, 79 %BE) as compared to control (575 g, 57.5% BE). The findings related to biochemical parameters showed highest protein (30.58g) in gram legume powder, highest carbohydrate (55.18g) with wheat bran and highest fat, fibre, ash and moisture (2.75g, 9.43g, 8.35g, 91.37%) respectively with rice bran. There was yield reduction when gram legume powder (470.0 g, 47% BE) was used as supplement.
