Biography
Dr. Andreotti is a noninvasive cardiologist working in Rome. She receieved an MD, a specialty in cardiology and pneumology, and a PhD from Italy, the UK, and Netherlands. In 1990-1992 she was principal investigator of a British Heart Foundation Project, and in 1993 she became Lecturer at the London University Hammersmith Hospital Medical School.
Since 2005 she is an aggregated professor of cardiovascular medicine at the Catholic University of Rome. In 2007-2009 she coordinated a multicenter study funded by the Italian University and Research Ministry.
In 2008-2010, Professor Andreotti chaired the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Working Group on Thrombosis, a body convened to stimulate research and disseminate knowledge on thrombosis and bleeding-related disorders.
