Biography

Atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) is a syndrome of thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) characterized by clinical features of microangiopathic hemolytic anemia (MAHA), thrombocytopenia and target organ injury particularly the kidney [1-3]. With presentation of TMA like syndrome the primary differential diagnoses are thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP), typical HUS and atypical HUS (aHUS).
