Biography

Hruska received his M.A. and Ph.D. in experimental psychology, with concentrations in health psychology and quantitative methods, both from Kent State University. He Also received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Akron. His current research Focus include Identifying mental health risk and protective factors in high-risk occupations, Developing mental health promotion and prevention strategies for implementation among high-risk occupations.

Recent years have seen a rise in the number of empirically supported treatments for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
