Chandrakar Kamath received his BE degree from Mysore University in the year 1978and M.Tech degree from Mangalore University in the year 1989. Till recently he has been working as a Professor in the dept. of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal Univerity. He has published several International and national papers. His research interests include analog and digital signal processing, in particular bio-signal processing.

A Novel Approach to Detect Congestive Heart Failure using Dispersion Entropy
Background: Congestive heart failure (CHF) being difficult to manage in clinical practice, has been the subject of intensive research.
Methods: A novel chaotic analysis which is a combination of graphical (second-order difference, SOD) plot and numerical (Dispersion entropy, DispEn) method to detect CHF is presented.
