Regeneration Media Standardization of Pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) cv. Bhagava from Shoot tip, Cotyledonary Node, Hypocotyls and Leaves
In this study an attempt has made to develop reliable and reproducible in vitro regeneration protocol to get healthy and well-formed plants from shoot tip, cotyledonary node hypocotyls and leaves of pomegranate cv. Bhagava for transformation and tissue culture. Shoot tips cultured on full MS+BAP (2.0 mg l-1) showed best response (70%) to shooting. Cotyledonary nodes cultured on full MS + NAA (2.0 mg l-1) + BAP (2.0 mg l-1) showed 80% shooting with 4-5 shoots per explant.
