Circulating biomarkers are essential for cancer diagnosis and progression monitoring. Nowadays, it is commonly accepted and widely highlighted the need to discover tumour markers to enable early diagnosis, prognosis as well as giving insight into pathogenesis and identifying potentially new treatments.
