Biography

Guido Gainotti received his M.D. from Parma University in 1963 and has been up to 2012 and Full Professor of Neurology and Director of the Institute of Neurology of the Catholic University of Rome. He currently works as an Professor Emeritus of Neurology in the Catholic University. His research interests include on different emotional reactions of right and left brain-damaged patients such as: The mechanisms underlying the unilateral spatial neglect syndrome; The nature of semantic-lexical disorders in aphasia and in Alzheimer’s disease; The nature and the anatomical correlates of category-specific semantic disorders.
