To reveal the relationship between hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection and cholecystitis gallstones, cholecystitis gallstones and diabetes mellitus (DM) in Jinchang cohort. A total of 48,000 subjects aged 19 to 90 participated in a baseline examination from 2011 to 2013 in Jinchang cohort. Among the subjects, 33,355 underwent follow-up examination from 2014 to 2015, for average follow-up period of 3.2 years. Logistic and Cox regression were used to analyze the effects of different HBV infection status on cholecystitis and gallstone and different state of cholecystitis gallstone on DM by estimating the odds ratio (OR), hazard ratio (HR) and 95% confidence interval (95% CI), based on Jinchang cohort. The prevalence of cholecystitis in the Jinchang cohort was 10.20% overall, 13.40% in female... view moreĀ»
