Pulmonary Disorder in A Patient Recovering from Coronavirus Disease 2019 In Cardiac Surgery: Case Report and Review

Covid-19 patients show a range of disturbance, the most significant of which is an acute respiratory syndrome. 17% -29% of them indicated more severe complications of pulmonary disorders including pneumonia and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). Preliminary studies have reported an increase in inflammatory mediators and cytokines (cytokine storm) in patients with COVID-19. A Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB) alone triggers a potent stimulant to release of inflammatory response throughout the body.
