Early intervention for children with hearing loss

Hearing loss can affect child’s ability to develop speech, language, and social skills. In earlier child's who is deaf or hard-of-hearing starts getting services, the more likely the child’s speech, language, and social skills will reach their full potential. Hearing sounds and words helps children learn to talk and understand. This can cause problems with speaking, reading, school success, and social skills. It is important to have your child tested if you think he has trouble hearing. Getting help early is key.
