Robert Rosenheck is Professor of Psychiatry, Public Health and at the Child Study Center at Yale Medical School where he is also Director of the Division of Mental Health Services and Outcomes Research in the Department of Psychiatry. He is an internationally known mental health service researcher who is leader in cost-effectiveness studies of behavioral health interventions and in monitoring quality of care and other aspects of the performance of large health care system.

Objective: Although caregiver relationships are a recognized feature of recovery for people with schizophrenia, subjective satisfaction with individual family and non-family relationships has not been studied systematically nor have factors associated with greater relationship satisfaction been identified.
