Biography

Shirley Received her BSc in Psychology at the University of Nottingham in 2001 and was awarded her PhD in Psychology in 2006, from the University of Nottingham. Her PhD thesis was titled 'Factors relating to emotional distress after stroke'. she currently works as an assistant professor in Rehabilitation Psychology at the University of Nottingham. His current research interests are in the psychological aspects of stroke, particularly the assessment and treatment of mood problems following stroke.
