Theodoros P. Vassilakopoulos is currently an Assistant Professor at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Department of Haematology. As a Lecturer and Assistant Professor Theodoros P. Vassilakopoulos involved in the training of Hematology Fellows through everyday clinical practice, lectures and courses. Throughout the course of his medical career the focus of his interest was clinical work, in order to provide health services to patients according to the respective positions I held.

Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) is considered as a highly curable malignancy, but successful treatment can be associated with significant long-term toxicity. Traditional treatment modalities include chemotherapy, radiotherapy (RT) and salvage chemotherapy with autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT). The goal of modern treatment is focused on tailoring each patient’s approach according to age, risk of relapse and risk of short- and long-term toxicity.
