Biography

Dr. Jason F. Hall, MD, MPH, FACS, FASCRS, has been the Chief of Colon & Rectal Surgery and Co-Director of Dempsey Center for Digestive Disorders at Boston Medical Center Corp. since April 2016. Dr. Hall had an active role in the ASCRS, served as the Chair of the Awards Committee since 2009. He is a board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and received fellowships from the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery (ASCRS). He completed his Residency in General Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he served as the Churchill Instructor in Surgery (Super-Chief), and completed a two-year fellowship at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center focusing on colon and rectal surgery. His research interests include colorectal cancer, diverticulitis and fistulas, with several of his studies appearing in national academic journals. Dr. Hall earned a Bachelor's Degree College of the Holy Cross, his Medical Degree from Harvard Medical School, and a Master's of Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health.
