Articles on Liver Studies

The Liver is the largest internal organ performing various functions than any other organ in the body. Liver can sustain life even when only 10-20% of liver tissue is functioning. The liver's main duty is to filter the blood coming from the digestive tract, before passing it to the rest of the body. The liver also detoxifies chemicals and metabolizes drugs. The liver also makes proteins important for blood clotting and other functions. Liver helps in processing food and changing it into energy, breaking down toxic substances in the body, storing iron reserves, as well as vitamins and minerals, producing bile, which aids in digestion .The liver supports almost every organ in the body. One of the liver's most interesting abilities is self-repair and the regeneration of damaged tissues. Liver is prone to several diseases due to its strategic location and multidimensional functions. A variety of illnesses can affect the liver. Liver problems can be inherited, or liver problems can occur in response to viruses and chemicals. Some liver problems are temporary and go away on their own, while other liver problems can last for a long time and lead to serious complications. JLDT stands among the liver journals in the globe.
