Abstract
Morphologic Findings in Explanted Pericardial Bioprostheses in Young Patients
The main advantage of biological valve prostheses over mechanical ones is the low rate of thromboembolism without administration of anticoagulants. Varying problems with long-term durability, however, have characterized these valves in the past.
