Sinus Thrombosis

Sinus thrombosis is the presence of thrombosis (a blood clot) in the venous sinuses, which drain blood from the brain. Cavernous sinus thrombosis is a rare and life-threatening condition in which a blood clot develops in the cavernous sinuses. As a result, blood cells may break and leak blood into the brain tissues, forming a hemorrhage.
