Abstract

Human activities have a high chance of contaminating marine environments. Food waste, chemicals (including chemical weapons), wastewaters, trash, and other waste from terrestrial sources have been dumped in the oceans for years. [1, 2] Unexploded ordnance and munitions from deliberate dumping have polluted coastal marine areas around the world. These munitions are point sources of chemical waste in coastal waters because they contain organic explosive compounds as well as a number of metals
