Abstract

Suez Canal is artificial sea-level waterway in Egypt which connect the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea. It is one of the world's busiest shipping lanes, offers the shortest maritime path between Europe and the lands surrounding the Indian and western Pacific oceans. Maritime transport is the most cost-effective mode of transportation, with waterways carrying more than 80% of global trade volume
