Abstract

Data mining is an extremely important computing process to observe patterns in big data sets involving different intelligent methods. Data mining is the process of extraction of data from the large data sets and converts it into an understandable form for its further use. It is not the extraction of data itself but the extraction of data patterns. Data mining includes six common classes of tasks Anomaly detection, association rule learning, clustering, classification, regression and summarization. A universal data analysis system is needed by different applications like social computing and security informatics to make rapid decision under dynamic and distributed systems environments. Nowadays data mining is been popularly used to achieve these goals and one should have a knowledge of numerous data mining techniques as well as good programming skills to develop data mining system. Gathering and storage of huge volumes of data is possible due to recent advancements in digital storage technologies, computing, communications and high throughput data acquisition technologies. Data mining (DM) technology has emerged as a means of performing this discovery. Numerous researches across the world are going on designing of data mining techniques and algorithms by countless researchers. With the increase in the use of the computerized systems to track crimes and trace criminals, computer data analysts have started lending their hands in helping the law enforcement officers and detectives to speed up the process of solving crimes with the help of data mining. Any research that can help in solving crimes faster will pay for itself. This is becoming important trend of modern information systems. This has been emerged as a new epoch for various organizations and medical streams only because of lack of knowledge data storage systems in earlier days. This paper deals with the Empirical Research Methods and Design in Data Mining
