Abstract
Designed and built to be a hospital of the future, Farrer Park Hospital (FPH) is Singapore’s newest private healthcare service provider to integrate innovation and the latest technology for optimal patient outcomes and comfort. Having garnered over 30 awards since operations in 2016, FPH has pushed the boundaries in care delivery. FPH is Asia’s only fully integrated facility encompassing a 250 bedded 5 star hotel, 188 units medical centre and a 220 bedded hospital. Conceptualized as a SMART hospital, FPH’s infrastructure was built for seamless information flow throughout the complex. This is integrating platforms and systems to enable efficient information to improve patient safety, operation efficiency and effective decision making. Building a culture that embraces fresh solutions is also critical to the development of a SMART facility. People, not tech must be at the heart of healthcare. Technology is the enabler and must never be allowed to front the care that is provided. SMART Nursing, AI, analytics, the software and hardware surrounds supports and enable people to deliver superior care to patients.
Biography
Timothy Low is the Board Member of Farrer Park Hospital, part of Singapore’s first fully integrated healthcare complex, Connexion, comprising a hospital, Hotel and a Specialist Medical Centre. He clinched 25 local and regional awards for the hospital over a period of 2 years (2016-2017). He has been the key management positions since 25 years with renowned organizations; he was CEO of Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore, successfully leading the operational turnaround strategy to build the hospital’s reputation as a 6-star private healthcare provider. He has also helmed key positions in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Industry in the Asia Pacific region. For his contributions toward the healthcare community, He joins the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who’s Who. In the last 2 consecutive years, he was awarded the “50 Most Talented Healthcare Leaders of Asia” award and “Best CEO of the Year” at the Asia Healthcare Excellence Award conferred by CMO Asia in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
