Abstract


This course will discuss the latest view of Parkinson’s disease. Parkinson's disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder in the world. Visual manifestations can be due to pathology and/or treatments of Parkinson’s Disease. Ocular manifestations such as visual hallucinations, dry eye syndrome, glaucoma, convergence insufficiency, diplopia and contrast sensitivity, will be discussed (Published in peer-reviewed Journal). Visual hallucinations occur in at least 25% of PD patients. A review on the ocular manifestations of PD and the evaluation of the current biomarkers such as OCTs for the early diagnosis and monitoring of PD will be discussed this presentation. Biography


Al-Namaeh is a clinician and a consultant in Kentucky, USA. She has been also an adjunct professor at Oulu University of Applied Sciences in Finland, Europe. Al-Namaeh is a regular member of grant review panels for a national organization. Al-Namaeh is a committee member at various professionals’ meetings. She has been selected at the Editorial Boards of national journal in the field. She has lectured by invitations to national and international meetings. She has several articles and abstracts publications.
